C.A.Halpin lives and works at Hairpin Hall Studios and Artistic Laboratories, in Hackney East London. She studied at the Royal College of Art 1986-88, then went on to work in animation and film, in Britain and Europe. Returning to London in 1994 she moved to Shoreditch to work as an artist, curator and gallery owner.
Halpin works across a broad spectrum of media including painting, drawing, sculpture and writing. Her examination and reworking of the nature of portraiture has led to her work being widely collected in Britain and internationally.
